Half-Hour News Hour

Having watched one episode of FOX News's attempt to rip off the Daily Show, I have a few thoughts I would like to share:

1. It appears that every single comedy writer worth a salt is a liberal. Every single one. FOX News needs to scour every synagogue in LA to find someone who can teach them what a "punchline" is.

2. If you have a live studio audience and you still need a laugh track, it means your writing staff sucks. In this case, your anchors, too.

3. Having an intern tape Weekend Update and transpose it does not a writing staff make.

4. If you are a news station and your production values can get smoked by a comedy show, you are doing something wrong.

5. If you only do your sad little show once a week, you should probably rehearse once or twice.
